White to Green with Gwen Spurlock

Thanks to Oakley Europe we were able to welcome UK pro and Welsh champ Gwen Spurlock along to our latest White to Green Course in Cornwall in July. Gwen spent the week hanging out with us and sharing her invaluable surf experience. In return we gave Gwen her first ever close encounter with a weaver fish .. sorry Gwen!

To celebrate we thought we would blog some photos of Gwen's time with us - an epic week of sun, waves, new friends and good times, we've also thrown in some feedback from our Summer 2012 White to Green graduates.

White to Green Week: endless sunshine and perfect waves!

At the end of July we were joined by an epic bunch of Sistas, endless sunshine and perfect waves for yet another amazing White to Green Improver week... This is fast becoming one of our favourite weeks of the year!

Big thanks to Dominique, Natalya, Louise, Sabina, Macy, Sadie, Prue, Lucy, Evie, Julie, Erin, Emilie, Stephy, Kellie, Gisela and last but definitely not least Jo.. our 2012 graduates! You all threw yourselves right in, pushed your boundaries, learnt alot, laughed alot and we hope truly stoked the fuel of your surf addiction! We think you all did brilliantly!

Yoga in Morocco

We caught up with Surf Sistas Yoga goddess Nicole Lohse to find out what you can expect if you join us in Morocco next month ..

" So… You may be wondering what you may be in for while in Morocco. Other then the obvious – epic surf, good food, warm weather and amazing company you’ll also have the opportunity to do a whole lot of yoga!
I will lead you through a number of different styles of classes from energizing flow/vinyasa, power and core to mellow restorative sessions, all designed to help you gain flexibility, balance, strength and awareness. Classes will include different meditation and pranayama (breathing) techniques to help you with focusing and staying calm out in the water.

Some of these sessions will be about playing, laughing, building up strength and getting you ready for the water. Other classes will allow you to just mellow out and relax, releasing all the aches and pains from surfing. All in all it will be about going with the flow of the week, having fun, feeling good and being on vacation!"
