New Surf Days in Polzeath, Cornwall - Babes on Waves!

Join us for our Babes on Waves days with Wavehunters in Polzeath in August and September, we've got a great day planned with beach Yoga, loads of surfing, a gourmet BBQ and of course an amazing goody bag with treats from Wavehunters, Surf Sistas and our sponsors Oakley. 

These days are great for all abilities, with the Surf Sistas and Wavehunters teams combining to offer coaching for beginners looking to ride their first waves, through improvers looking to build confidence in green waves to more experienced surfers who want to refine their technique or learn something new.

Come and get involved, meet some like Surf Sistas, bring your friend, your mum, your sister, your daughter .. everyone is welcome from age 6 and up.

Bali Hai 2013

White to Green with Gwen Spurlock

Thanks to Oakley Europe  we were able to welcome UK pro and Welsh champ Gwen Spurlock along to our latest White to Green Course in Cornwall in July. Gwen spent the week hanging out with us and sharing her invaluable surf experience.  In return we gave Gwen her first ever close encounter with a weaver fish .. sorry Gwen!  

To celebrate we thought we would blog some photos of  Gwen's time with us - an epic week of sun, waves, new friends and good times, we've also thrown in some feedback from our Summer 2012 White to Green graduates.

Make this the summer you learn to surf because ..

.. its fun!  Just like we have left it a bit too late to win Wimbledon we are not all going to make it to the upper rankings of the worlds best female surfers .. but none of this matters because nothing will bring a smile to your face like your first ridiculous wipeout!

.. it will keep you fit!  Not only does surfing keep you fit but your new surf addiction will inspire you to keep up all your fitness resolutions in between surfs so that your surfing will improve in leaps and bounds..

... it makes you feel good about yourself!  Challenging yourself to learn something new, hanging out in a wetsuit or bikini (see point 1 - you are having too much fun to care!), heading back to the real world with salty hair, a sun kissed face and sand between your toes.. all of this makes for a happy soul!

... you will make new friends!  We didn't call our company Surf Sistas for nothing, meeting like minded surf buddies is one of the best parts of surfing in our eyes! Road trips, dance-offs, cocktails, sunset beers, , adventures, road trips..

So there we have it .. surfing could and probably will change your life ..   sorry if we sound a bit like surf evangelists but its all true! :)
